Shaking a generation for Christ.

Acts 4:31  “And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.”

Our youth ministry is focused on teaching our future generations about God and showing them how to build their own, personal relationship with Christ.  We do this by getting into God’s word, praying and learning to live for Him.  The youth are encouraged to build their relationships with other Christians to help them grow together, then help to guide them and prepare them to share the message of Christ with the world, starting with those they come into contact with each day (Matthew 28:18-20).

This is open to all youth in 6th through 12th grades.

We typically have game nights on Sunday nights from 6 – 7:30pm, which includes a group game, snacks, a devotional and some hang time.  This is a great time for youth to come and have fun, and is a great time to invite friends to come and have a good time with us.  Some of the summer games we play include football, basketball, soccer, kickball and ultimate Frisbee in the dark (we have a light up Frisbee for this game).  Some of the winter games include hide-n-seek in the dark and marshmallow dodgeball (with the big campfire marshmallows – who doesn’t like to throw marshmallows around?).

Wednesday evenings from 6 – 7:30pm, we have a Bible study.  We focus on getting more into God’s word, with curriculum that helps the youth to open up and ask questions so we can see what God’s instructions are for our lives and what His word says about many of our current situations.

Sunday mornings from 9:30 – 10:30am, we have Sunday school for the youth group.  We get into different Bible stories and work on Bible memory work.

We get involved in service projects, such as helping to raise money for the Beatitude house and we plan to help with the Rescue Mission this upcoming year.
